PS...Metal Matte Liquid Lipstick Review Ft My Cat

During one of my very regular trips to Primark, I spotted these two liquid lipsticks. They reminded me of the Kylie Jenner Metals so I thought I would give them a go. I haven't tried any of the Kylie Jenner Cosmetics because I just don't want to pay the shipping cost if I'm honest, and I am quite happy with all the lip products available to us in the UK

Before I begin, I should probably explain why one of my cats (Kismet) is in these photos. Basically she wouldn't leave me alone so I decided to make her a feature. Besides, she's quite aesthetically pleasing if you ask me.

I tried to use her as a background but she's not big enough. Read this buzzfeed post for context.

The gold one was more metallic than the red. But both are pretty matte and are nice and shiny. The colours are pretty much spot on. They have quite a creamy consistency when you first apply them but then they go super dry.

Overall the colours are lovely and they smell lush, but I found them too drying. I would only use them to go over the top of a softer lip product to add some depth of colour. I wouldn't use them as a stand alone lipstick.
Hope you found this little post interesting/helpful! Let me know if you have tried these before?
Lots of Love,
Xanthe

Current ASOS Wish List Autumn 2016

Like many people, I love to have a late night browse on ASOS. There is just sooo much stuff on there. But I also find myself blindly scrolling and probably missing a few gems, so I tend to look at blog posts for a bit of inspo.

I like the idea of looking items that are a 'must have' for someone else but I may usually scroll over without a thought. So- here are a few things I have been lusting over the past few weeks. I have actually managed to purchase a couple of them too!

A CharlotteTilbury Retail Therapy Haul ...

A few days ago I was feeling a bit sorry for myself. I hadn't seen my other half in a while and my job had been quite taxing the past couple of weeks. So I decided to treat myself to a few lovely presents. Retail therapy occasionally always brings me out of a slump- especially when I am buying something as beautiful as the Charlotte Tilbury products!

So as you can see, I went a bit mad. I took some photos of the products I was MOST excited about. Let me tell you- I was not disappointed. I always thought these may be slightly hyped up as I know Charlotte does a lot of work with bloggers and vloggers alike. But I can really see why they all seem to rave about this stuff...

I was super excited to try the colour chameleon eyeshadow pencils. I went for 'Golden Quartz' and 'Smokey Emerald' because they are meant to complement hazel eyes. They apply like a dream and are quite arduous to remove, perfect if you want to look made up all day long!

This is the 'Filmstars on the Go' palette and is limited edition. The packaging is gorgeous and the shadow and lip and cheek tint are actually perfect if you are on the go and want to spruse up a bit. I must admit- I was mostly attracted to the packaging... I'm a magpie. But the product is fab and I love it!

I also purchased the 'Uptown Girl' lip kit. The website is really handy for showing you what products go well together and I found the lip kits really enticing. I thought I would go for a more muted toned one to begin with and then maybe expand my collection later on.

I am so pleased that I decided to be extravagant in my makeup taste on this occasion, I was so excited to receive my package and the products really are to die for. I won't be making a habit out of it though because it was all rather expensive- but a girl needs to be kind to herself once in a while, and I am quite materialistic at the best of times!

Ciao!  xx
